UMD through it's Safety division Responder FSP has acquired the rights to distribute Fire Blockade Extinguishing and Flame retardant Products. Unlike AFFF, Fire Blockade has no issues with suspect carcinogens and is made from a food grade chemical formulation that allows this unique water additive to extinguish Types A,B,C,D K fires quickly without the issues associated with Foams and Foaming Products. The purchase will see a new registration for the product with UL and NFPA as the product is re-introduced both as an industrial extinguishing agent and a consumer product as well. Look for it's upcoming release in late spring 2021.

UMD Announces the release of Animal Core Bedding Additives for Commercial Poultry Farmers wanting to decrease losses of broilers and other grow out poultry  due to high ammonia or urea conditions in their facilities. This non toxic , food grade chemistry is added to bedding materials to stabilize gaseous ammonia and to increase the comfort of poultry flocks and subsequent increase the comfort of poultry weight gain. Added to new bedding or to lengthen the life of existing bedding materials and absorption capabilities.
